Blood Hits – Pack 3 brings 25 practical blood hits to your VFX assets library. Live-action blood bursting outward toward camera simulate a bullet hit or another violent impact. Being practical effects these shots give you the irregular droplets, imperfections and the weighty spray that only real liquid produces. Use these clips to extend a practical squib that underperformed on set, or to create a gunshot wound entirely in post. Either way, it’s a safer and far less messy option than rigging squibs on your actors. Several elements were captured at up to 120 fps, so you can stretch an impact into a dramatic slow-motion moment or let it play out at full speed for a quick, brutal hit. Every clip includes an alpha channel for true drag-and-drop compositing. The pack is offered as 4K ProRes and 4K EXR, plus the original RED R3D files at native resolutions from 4K to 8K. For a complete gunfight, pair these hits with our Muzzle Flashes, Blood Splatter, and Blood Impacts footage so the wound, the spray, and the aftermath all match.
